UCD ROBERT & MARGARIT MONDAVI CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS

Morton & Pitalo, Inc., prepared plans, specifications and estimates for the construction of this landmark project at the University of California, Davis Campus. The work involved reconstructing the existing two-lane facility to a four-lane engineering design services for utility relocations, water, storm drainage, sanitary sewer, grading, paving, curb & gutter, signing, striping and construction staging plans.

UCD PLANT & ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES REPLACEMENT FACILITY

Morton & Pitalo, Inc., prepared improvement plans, specifications and estimates for the demolition of the existing greenhouse facilities, north of Veihmeyer Hall. The new facility is a 71,940 assignable square foot laboratory and office building for faculty drawn primarily from the Dept. of Agronomy & Range Science & the Dept. of Land, Air and Water Resources.

The project bid approximately $2.7 million under the approved budget and is currently anticipated to cost $39.6 million. Demolition of the site was completed in August 1999. Structural steel framing was topped out in mid-April 2000, approximately one month early. The project was ready for occupancy in the spring of 2002. The Project Architect is Zimmer Gunsul Frasca Partnership of Portland, Oregon.
